I decided to use a wooden model i had lying around to ‘stage’ this drawing and add something a bit different to the self portrait pencil sketch. Never really ended up using that wooden figure for anything but it seems to be an obligatory purchase for artists at some point or other.
A pencil sketch of a male torso’s underlying skeletal structure and the build up of muscle shapes and definitions that combine to create the visible forms.
Some quick life drawing sketches – mostly pencil based but some with charcoal, pastels etc. Quick drawings used to study form and light/shade. More life sketches can be viewed in the life drawing gallery.
